Patrick L. Ferriere
Patrick L. Ferriere was educated in the United States, France and Switzerland, and is a dual citizen of the United States and Switzerland. His education and experience outside the United States, and his ability to work in both English and French, have led to his developing a particular expertise in counseling clients in cross-border transactions. These include non-U.S. clients in their business affairs in the United States, U.S. clients in their business affairs abroad, and clients of both types in domestic US and international joint ventures.

The types of transactions on which Mr. Ferriere has advised cover a broad range within the corporate and commercial field. They include acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships, corporate finance transactions including bank loans, and project finance, and commercial agreements of all kinds. The clients Mr. Ferriere has counseled are involved in diverse fields, from the manufacture and sale of luxury goods to the construction and operation of waste-to-energy facilities. In recent years, Mr. Ferriere's practice has emphasized joint ventures and acquisitions of trading firms.

In addition to his work directly for clients, Mr. Ferriere frequently addresses business groups in the United States and Europe regarding opportunities and problems in cross-border transactions.

Mr. Ferriere graduated from Middlebury College (B.A. cum laude, 1971), after which he worked for the United Nations for several years. He is a graduate of New York University School of Law (J.D. 1977), where he was an editor of the N.Y.U. Law Review. Prior to joining Fox Horan & Camerini he gained eight years of experience in the corporate departments of two large New York City law firms.
