William M. Brodsky
William M. Brodsky concentrates his practice in white collar criminal defense and civil litigation. A former Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Columbia and the Eastern District of New York, Mr. Brodsky represents individuals and corporations in investigations and prosecutions in both federal and state courts, involving Medicaid and Medicare fraud, perjury and false statements, and securities, tax, money laundering, official corruption, antitrust and campaign financing laws.

Mr. Brodsky also handles complex civil litigation , e.g., representing the winning side in a civil RICO suit before the U.S. Supreme Court; defending FIFA – the Zurich based sponsor of the international soccer competitions that culminate in the World Cup – in an injunction proceeding brought by MasterCard in the Southern District of New York and in the Second Circuit; obtaining a dismissal of a lawsuit against a former head of SIDES – the Argentinean CIA – in the Eastern District of Virginia and successfully defending the resulting appeal to the Fourth Circuit; and obtaining dismissals of actions brought by Holocaust victims and their heirs in the Southern District of Florida and in the Southern District of New York against a Swiss insurance company on grounds of lack of personal jurisdiction

Mr. Brodsky is Chair of the Eastern District Liaison Committee of the New York Council of Defense Lawyers; a member of the White Collar Crime Committee of the American Bar Association; and a member of the Criminal Courts Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Mr. Brodsky is admitted to the bars of the District of Columbia; New York; the Supreme Court of the United States; the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, Fourth and District of Columbia Circuits; and various United States District Courts.

Mr. Brodsky graduated from Dartmouth College and Yale Law School
